摘要：A sterilization biological test pack (10) includes a first plurality (14) of aperturedplanar sheets (12) of substantially porous paper disposed to form a stack. Each sheet (12)defines a generally centrally disposed aperture, the apertures defining a single cavity (18)extending through the stack (14). Second (20) and third (30) pluralities of unaperturedplanar sheets (22,32) of substantially porous paper are disposed on opposite sides of thestack (14) and aligned therewith to close the stack cavity (18) at both ends and define achamber (36) to receive a biological indicator (38). The first, second and third pluralities(14,20,30) together define a sheet pad (39). A tray (40) formed of unapertured

substantially gas-impermeable material, has a base (42) coextensive and aligned with theexposed side of the third plurality (30), and four sidewalls (44) transverse to the base (42)together substantially covering the exposed edges of the pad (39). The tray (40) and thepad (39) together define an assembly (49), and an organizer (50) is disposed all about theperiphery of the assembly (49) to maintain the sheets (12,22,32) and the tray (40) in apredetermined spatial relationship while permitting the passage of steam and air to andfrom the assembly (49).
