一 本单元重要知识总结

1. not/never/no/nothing 与 without 连用，是双重否定表示肯定。例如：You can’t make eggs rolls without breaking eggs.不打破鸡蛋，就无法做出蛋卷来。（即：有失才有得）。 常见的双重否定表肯定的还有：

① can’t /couldn’t/never...too... “无论怎么样也不为过，越怎么越好” eg ：When crossing the street, you cannot be too careful. 翻译：____________________________________。

② can’t /couldn’t +比较级，“不能再...了”，即表示最高级“非常....”或“最...”

eg: I cannot agree more. 翻译：_____________________。 ③ can’t /couldn’t /never与enough 连用 表示“再.....也不为过，很.......”

2. as 用法: ⑴as做关系代词引导限制性定语从句常与the same,such

连用；引导非限制性定语从句时as 有“正如”的含义，从句放在主句前，中，后均可。（2）as做介词，为“作为”，后不接从句。（做连词的其他用法参见“名师”48页） 练习：写出下列句子中as的含义

I often quarrel about my mother over whether I can watch TV after school. She holds view that senior three students have to make fully use of every minute to work hard at their lessons. It seems to me that once I am allowed to do that, I’ll be unable to control me and forget all about my study. She also thinks it is bad for my eye. But I really can’t accept her ideas. In my opinion, watch TV can set my mind at rest after a day’s hard works. Besides, it is important for us to know what had happened at home and at abroad. Thus, we shouldn’t be forbidden to watch TV.
